Ten thousand years since I blog again. So many things to blog so little time to not laze around. Oh wells. Shall continue with my trip.
Next is
Rome, ItalyRome was beautiful in the historica ways. There were ruins everywhere and their Colosseum was magnificiant. We went to like so many historical sites, The Roman Forum, Forum of Augustus and some muesuems and churches.
Most memorable attraction must be St Peter Basilica. It is really the biggest church in the world I guess. It's HUGE!!! Seriously. It's where the Pope resides. So I think you can kinda imagine how big and beautiful it will be. We climbed 350 steps up the Basilica and had a great view of the entire Rome.
Another highlight was the Vatican's Scavi Tour, which goes beneath St. Peter's Basilica to the tomb of Saint Peter. Firstly it was great because it's a tour which only allows 120 visitors a day and it must be booked months before. However, we got our tickets ike only a week before. How fortunate.=)
Anyway, it started with us waiting outsie the Excavations Office for our guide. We then followed him inside and down a staircase. He then scanned and a glass door opened. There we dug under a low and narrow arch in a 16th-century wall that supports the basilica, we walked along a dimly lit lane lined with Christian and pagan mausoleums. The higlight of the tour would be getting to see the tomb of St Peter's tomb, with a wall saying: " Peter is here". That's when people know he's there. I m not exactly church person but I knew it was totally worth it.
Some other famous attractions are famous Fontana di Trevi, the most beautiful fountain in world, at least to me it is. It was soooooo big and just beautiful. We made wishes=) We also went to the famous Spanish Steps which was kinda basically some steps. Heez. However, it's kinda 'romantic' to walk up the steps with you counting each and every steps.
Guess what we ate in Rome? Hezz. Lotsa Pasta, Pizza and most importantly Galeto aka home made Italian Ice cream. We ate like 2 scoops of Galeto everyday, sometime even more. The ice cream was... omg. It's just soooooooo nice and you are definitely spoilt for choices. Oh wells, my favorite flavour is Mandarine=)
Oh wells, there's soo many things to talked about. But I don't really wanna write a grandfather story so here you go. These are the highlights for me=)
