Meleka Road Trip With the old Simpsons Clique feat Alex, Chong Mend, Denis, Jun Wei and Me.
Its not the first time for most of us thus, sightseeing was sort of out of our plans. And thus, we are left with shopping and eating.
Hmm.. maybe because there were 4 guys and only 1 girl, shopping was down to minimal too. And all we did was eat!!!
Let me explain how our trip went...
Day 01We set off from Alex's house with Alex being our designated driver for the trip.
We crossed the causeway and entered Malaysia, missed the slip road to the NS highway.
We sort of found our way back onto the highway with a partially pre-downloaded google map from my iphone.
We stopover at Yong Peng for breakfast or maybe brunch(at 11plus). Bought some snacks and carried on with our journey. Arrived at our Hotel, Equitorial Hotel. There was some problems with the check-in thus the hungry ass guys finished the snacks they bought while waiting for Alex to settle our check-in.
Finally we were checked in. And since the delay was due to some 'internal problems', we were upgraded to a better room, a club suite I think, with the choice of city view of sea view. Alex and I chose the one with the seaview, totally disappointing as there was not much of a view. The sea was sooooooo far away at the extreme corner.
However, the room was great. It was spacious and the pillows were extremely soft...=) Anyway, After check-in, we went on to the famous chicken rice ball stall at around 1plus. After having our lunch, we went on to have deserts (chendol etc). On the way we picked up some durian snacks and some drinks.
Then we proceeded back to the hotel, showered and headed out for dinner. We had Zhi Char, ordering like typical Singaporeans, too much to finish.
After dinner, we headed to Jonker Street for a walk. Nothing much to buy, we headed back to the hotel for a short break. I fell asleep. Alex woke me up and dragged all of us down to Capitol Satay for supper. As much as I felt like sleeping, I was glad he woke me up.
The satay steamboat was really nice and special. No wonder there was still a queue at 2am.
After that, we had some beer and bananas back in hotel before heading to bed.
Day 02We started the day with international buffet from our hotel. Followed by a short one hour shopping and then again, we went to eat. We went to A&W=)
With that we ended our adventure in Meleka and headed back to Singapore. Guess what?!
Yup, we stopped over at Johor for dinner, Abalone noodles and durian for deserts.=)
And finally yes, we ended our foodies road trip in Malaysia.
All in all, I would just like to let whoever is actually reading my blog knows, all these time in Malaysia, we were never hungry other than maybe our first meal at yong peng.

I haven't been exercising for months. It's time to start getting fit. Though I haven't gain much weight, I have been losing much muscles and gaining those flabby fats. Hmm... Lazy still...
