  • I hate changes!

I used to hate going to work when I first started off as a SOIC in PSA.It was pretty tough yearning for respect from the more experienced oldies sitting in front of me. And its more tough to not feel bothered by the harsh working enviroment everyday.

As time passed, I got to know the people in the control as well the ground. Things got easier and work became less dreadful. Slowly, I mastered the skills of a SOIC and gotten used of working with the same old people every now and then. Work became an important part of my life. Work became fun.

However, things changed.I got promoted to SDM. Frankly speaking, I hated it. Maybe its like my journey of becoming a SOIC and things will get better. But I still hate it. Firstly, they have to change my entire group of ppl whom I was so used to working with, the people who are my friends. It might sounds gay but I really missed Fiona. She was kinda my motivation to work back then.

I am not saying that the new group of people are not good or what, they are definitely a fine bunch of fun-loving people. They are awesome out of work. As of at work, they are just as new as me, desperately seeking recognition from people around. It is really a difficult task trying to seek recognition from people and gain respect all over again. I dont feel the power which supposedly comes with the title. In fact, I feel sucky after every shift and I hate the fact that I know I haven't earn the respect from most yet. It is easy to tell.

And the worse thing is, SDM hardly get recoginized. SOIC get praised for a good shift while SDM get blamed for a lousy one.

Oh wells. I am sure things will get better. As for now, I shall work hard to be an awesome SDM. You never know, maybe one year later, I will be posting how awesome it is to be an SDM and not wanting to promote to AM.
