    Tokyo May 2011

Most people wonder why we decided to travel to Japan after the Quake, when everybody still lives in fear. First, the airfares are super cheap and since Japan is a country in my must-go list, why not go now. Anyway, I can assure that it is totally safe to travel to Tokyo and everything seems normal.

    Tokyo - City life
Tokyo is so much alike Singapore. Skyscrapers, lotsa shopping mall and many things to eat.

The things that are different are that they have ridiculously many people everywhere at anytime of the day. But at least there have more better looking human beings than we have here. So no harm braving through the crowd very noww and then.=)

Also, their houses are really like those seen in Doraemon or Crayon Shin Chan, tiny landed property with paper looking doors.

Next, I would say they have tasty food and the most creative way of selling them < in a vending machine>

For me, it is kinda a Little waste for me to go Japan. It is because I can't eat most of the delicious looking food. I am a picky eater, I don't take vegetables, raw or fishy stuff. Thus, I am always eating Ramen and tempura in Japan.

Anyway, I did tried the really expensive sushi(7 pieces for SGD$60) in Tsukiji Fish Market. Sorry to all sushi lover out there, I puked out a SGD$12 sushi. Lucky Alex, he happily finish all, other than the Tamago Sushi.=)

Also, we met Hachiko!!! The faithful dog who waits for his owner to return everyday.

Check Tokyo part 1 and Tokyo Part 2 out for more photos.

    Tokyo - DisneySea

We figured since we have been to Disneyland Paris, why not DisneySea. Once again the no. of people there is crazy. Luckily, Japanese are sooo efficient, the queues although long, were quickly shorten with the efficiency of the theme park and their staffs.

It is really quite insane on how much Japanese worship Mickey and friends. They are willing to wait for 50mins just to take a picture with Mickey Mascot. And most people even bought Mickey's teddy bears. Duffy (ダッフィー) and Shellie May (シェリーメイ), exclusive to DisneySea at the Tokyo Disney Resort.

It is so insane that every 10 patrons in DisneySea, 7 will be carrying one or sometimes even five. Their passion for Disney even influenced Alex. He wanted to buy Duffy and Shellie too?! I would not deny that they are adorable but..... but... I am not the fluffy stuffed toys kinda girl. So We decided not to buy.

Check out DisneySea for more photos.

    Tokyo - Hakone

We made a side trip<2D1N> to Hakone to check out Mount Fuji. Too bad it is not the season for Fuji climbing thus, we took the all kinds of transport just to catch a glimpse of Fuji-san.

    Day 1
We went on the train, cable car, river cruise but to no avail due to the bad weather.
This is all we can see.

Fortunately, we booked a Ryokan with our private onsen for the night. Check out the photos and you will know how heavenly we felt in the freezing cold weather.

check Hakone out for for photos.

    Day 2
We decided to head to Gotemba Factory outlet. We spent quite alittle at the outlet. I even bought my first really expensive bag from Coach. This is the bag.

And this are all the things we bought. < Coach, Burberry, Lacoste,Adidas, Gap and many more>

The best things we get from going to Gotemba Oulet are not only the shopping items but is the full view of Fuji-san. Weather was awesome and Fuji-san is magnificent.

    Long awaiting update

Once again, a very long pause between 2 adjacent posts. I guess with the creation of Facebook and introduction of whatapps, conveying how you felt to the world has become 10x easier. Thus, blogging seems to become less appealing, at least to me.

Anyway, what has changed since my last post A.K.A 3 months ago. First and yes, I am STILL in PSA after May. I cannot deny that the thought of quitting did come into my mind. Being in operations, the amount of stress you handle on a daily basis and the abnormal working hours is something most people cannot get used to. This is especially true for those without companion at work. I am lucky that I have Fiona, my BFF A.K.A toilet buddy at work. So when I heard that she is going to change to another group, worse my blind group, meaning we won't be working together for the longest time, I thought of quitting. Anyway, our roster is based on a grouping system, so you will usually be working with the people in your group and sometimes adjacent groups. Fortunate enough, the management decided to not separate the buddies.

And of course, one other reason why I able to stay till now and even lose any idea of changing my job, is because of a great boss. I would say that he is the best boss anyone can ask for. I am not trying to 拍马屁 or what but without even mentioning his name, I am sure all my Psa colleagues know who I am referring to. I don't think I can find a better boss elsewhere.

Okays. Enough of work talk. Hmm.. Where have I been the last 3 months other than PSA. Me and Alex went to Japan for a 6 day trip. More about Japan coming up next :)
