  • Bad Experience with Vision Law LLC
    Monday, November 5, 2012

10 June 2009. The day I had my very first car accident.

We(Alex & I) were on the way home from town. I was driving behind an Audi TT when I noticed he suddenly braked. I braked to a stop just enough to not hit the Audi. Checked the mirror and see no incoming cars. 'Phew'

All of a sudden, a Honda Jazz changed lane without checking the front and rammed into 小小黑's ass aka boot.:( Alex and I was literally looking at the sky alittle when my car went up the temporary road divider. And the impact caused my 小小黑 to bang into the Audi in front. Sob Max. Although scary, I thought it was quite a cool experience since nobody was badly injured.

Anyway, back to the main story. My insurance company, AXA appointed Vision Law LLC to represent us. I could only say the experience with Vision Law was utterly disappointing.

Firstly, due to my back injury after the accident, my lawyer Audree*(name changed) told me that my compensation will be around $20k. However, after 3 years of chasing after a settlement, my final offer was $2k.

I was not pissed over the little settlement I recieved. Rather, I was pissed that Audree made fake promises and did not fight hard for her client. I know this because I met up with Audree to talk about the settlement and she kept giving me lame excuses. In addition, she kept emphasizing that if I don't take the $2k offer, the value will drop after more when the opposition counter offer. I was too tired to play hide n seek, thus I took the offer, UNWILLINGLY.

Secondly, all these went on for a year and then ceased. If I did not re-email reminder to the law firm, it would take more than 3 years to settle. In addition, they took months to reply a simpler mail on updates. I even have to resort to sending the mail to every person working in Vision Law LLC, just to get a reply.

And what could be worse right? They sent the cheque to the wrong address. I clearly emailed them 3 years ago that I moved. As usual, they did not replied. Thus, I called to double checked that they have indeed received the mail.

Finally, the whole episode of getting the rightful settlement was lame and exhausting. I m guilty that I do take my time to reply mail but never to their extent. They are simply irresponsible and not the least helpful.

Ps: friends and family thinking of hiring someone from Vision Law to represent u, THINK AGAIN

    Kim's Family Korean Restaurant
    Friday, November 2, 2012

Spotted this restaurant after lunch at West Coast Market this afternoon. I was instantly attracted to the simple yet loud signboard and decided to return for dinner. Little did I know that I have actually tried the other branch at Bukit Timah.

Anyway, we ordered set A- BBQ Set with Pork Belly, Pork collar & Beef boneless short ribs. In addition, we ordered Alex's favorite Spicy Rice cake.

The waitress served us with the usual Korean appetizers(total of 12 mini dishes). I think the shitake mushroom & ikan billis outshone the rest of the dishes.

Here comes the main dish. The waitress carefully placed some mushroom and the beef boneless short ribs on the BBQ plate while we wait anxiously. And.... It is ready! :) Carefully wrapped in fresh cut lettuce, the juicy BBQ meat & bean paste combination was simply a mouthful of fulfillment.

Overall, dinner was fulfilling and alittle pricey. However, it was totally worth the price.
